Tanzania Music Artist Arrested After Insulting The President In One Of His Songs




Emmanuel Elibariki, a Tanzania music artist with the stage name  "Ney Wa Miltego" was reported arrested by the Tanzania police under the instructions of the Tanzania President "John Magufuli".

He was arrested under the circumstances of his insults to John Magufuli and his government in his new song titled 'Wapo' which has invaded all the social Medias. A part in his music came up with a question  "Is there still freedom of expression in the country?"

John Magufuli is a president known for his strict rules and regulations and also was known as a president who doesn't take any form of insurgency and insults. He was said to have acquired a nickname "The Bulldozer".

So Ney Wa Miletgo eventually messed with the bulldozer and has been bulldozered into the prison for his insults.

A police spokesperson who confirmed his arrest told a local newspaper that 'Ney Wa Mitego will be questioned for releasing a song with words that malign the government.'
His arrest comes just days after President John Magufuli warned media owners to be careful on how they use their press freedom.
